Dr. Marc Philippon Attends ISHA's 3rd Annual Scientific Meeting on Arthroscopic Hip Advancements

VAIL, Colo., Nov. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Researchers from the Steadman Philippon Research Institute (SPRI), an orthopedic research organization, recently joined more than forty hip experts for the 3rd Annual ISHA Scientific Meeting in Paris, France.  The  meeting included a variety of symposia, lectures, debates and paper presentations related to advancements in hip arthroscopic surgery.

Dr. Marc Philippon, a founding member of ISHA, participated in two debates, one on advanced hip arthroscopy and labral reconstruction, and another debate on the treatment of iliopsoas.  The labrum is the seal between the pelvis and the femur at the hip.  The iliopsoas is an area within the hip consisting of a combination of three muscles that control hip flexion.
